Your retirement Planning- Who Decides Your Path?
Your path to retirement, how would you prepare? How to plan and implement your retirement needs.
Most people approach retirement in one of two ways. They are either excited at the prospect of finally having the time to do all of those things they have dreamed of doing for years, or they are dreadful at the prospect of being bored and not having enough money to survive.
This does not have to be the case. With a little planning and action taking we can all enjoy our retirement years. I am going to give an overview of some aspects of the retirement journey here and invite you to read some of my other pages for more details.
If you are facing retirement now with no knowledge of whether you can survive on your current savings please get in touch at email@example.com for options to consider. You may be years from retirement and just need a new idea about how to prepare for that special journey that you want to enjoy. This might be an option for you as well.
Retirement enables us to have more the most precious commodity of time. Some people would like to have more of this years before they are actually at “retirement age.” Time and freedom are very important to everyone and if you’re anything like me, you would like to have the income to actually enjoy your time and freedom.
We all work very hard for most of our lives and I think that retirement should be an awesome journey of doing the things you love. Whether you want to travel or just stay at home with grand children, planning must be done.
What to Do After Retirement
How much money will you need? This will be determined by your lifestyle and how old you are when you decide to quit work. If you are 60 now, do you have enough money to live another 30 years without altering your current lifestyle?
Do you have new goals and dreams? Most of us have a “bucket list” of things we want to accomplish, whether it be taking a class in something, or traveling to some place special. If you do not have any goals and are worried about being bored, then a new work from home business may suit your needs. Some folks just want to stay busy. We have all of this time now that we are retired so we want to use it wisely and not fall into boredom or depression. Volunteer work of some kind may suit your needs. If you have ample funds and lots of time, there are plenty of deserving, rewarding volunteer positions available to you.
Be Happy Retired : Where will you live during retirement?
Some people want to stay in their current home while others would like to down-size. Regardless of your choice, you must have enough money. This is another consideration for looking into starting a home based business. The internet has opened up a whole new realm of possibilities to make some extra money from your home. This may be an option for you even if you are not near retirement age. You may just not love your job anymore and want to “fire your boss.”

Are you in good health? This may be the most important thing to consider as we get closer to retirement. Health care is very expensive and proper planning need to be done to ensure that we have the needed care in our golden years. Public and private health care system work together in Africa, and a lot of other countries as well. According to Wikipedia, all medical education is done in the public sector, but over 70% of the doctors work in the private sector. These statistics would make a good case for having some private medical care when we get older. If you are in bad health or simply do not have enough money if you do get ill, you will want to look into a way to get some extra income.

Retirement Active/ Ideas
Retirement can be anything we want it to be if we just take some action and have a good plan. Here are a few ideas of some ways to spend time if you are becoming a little bored.
Education. You may want to study for a whole new career. There are a lot of examples of folks who retired and then “re-invented” themselves, sometimes becoming even more successful!
Hobbies. Do you like to decorate, play cards, exercise, go boating, see movies? These are all things that can be done when you have the time. Sometimes they can even be incorporated into charity work? Maybe you could mentor a child and teach them something that you could do. The ideas are endless.
Travel. This is an awesome time to do some traveling. Hopefully, if you have planned properly, you have a little money to do this.
Family. Spend more time with your family. This is something that may just be the most rewarding thing you can do. When we all have full time jobs we just do not have the quality time that it takes to really enjoy those people who are closest to us.
Take action now and start to enjoy your retirement
